Dive Light Instructions:
1. Unlocking the Switch Button: To turn on the dive light, you need to press and hold the switch button for 3 seconds. This action will unlock the light and make it ready for use. If the light has been unused for a while, ensure it is unlocked before attempting to use it.
2. Adjusting Brightness Levels: The dive light is equipped with 3 levels of brightness to suit various underwater conditions and conserve battery life. After unlocking the switch button, you can cycle through the brightness levels by pressing the switch button briefly. Each press will change the brightness level from low to medium to high and then back to low again in a loop.
3. Rinsing and Soaking: After each dive, it's crucial to rinse the dive light with fresh water to remove any salt or debris that may have accumulated during the dive. Make sure to submerge the light in fresh water and gently shake it to dislodge any particles. Additionally, it's recommended to soak the dive light in fresh water for about 20 minutes to thoroughly clean and remove any salt residue. This helps to prevent corrosion and maintain the performance of the light.
4. Checking O-Ring Before Each Dive:The O-ring is a critical component of the dive light, providing a waterproof seal. Before each dive, inspect the O-ring for any signs of damage, wear, or debris. If you notice any issues, replace the O-ring before using the light underwater. A damaged or improperly seated O-ring can compromise the waterproof integrity of the light.
5. Lubricating O-Ring with Silicone Grease: To ensure the O-ring maintains its effectiveness, it's essential to lubricate it with silicone grease periodically. Follow the manufacturer's guidelines for recommended intervals, but typically it's done every few months or after significant use. Apply a thin layer of silicone grease to the O-ring to keep it supple and maintain its waterproofing capabilities.
Remember, following these instructions will not only enhance the performance and lifespan of your dive light but also contribute to your safety during underwater adventures. Happy diving!
